I need not of approval, for why must my craft be tied to a score?

I need not of cheers, because it is my drive that helps me stay afloat.

I need not of praise, for it is hard to discern flattery from appreciation.

I need not of validation, for it is for my soul I write.

I only need a pen and a paper to put meaning to fleeting thoughts.
